Re: [Harp-L] RE: CUPPING WITH FACIAL HAIR
it must have to do with the sound of the harp.
I have not cut my hair in 8 month (now past my shoulder, also against Company uniform policy ) and have only trimmed my beard and mustache ( only because the stash get snagged on the harp).
If I were to go cleaned face I don't think my young kids (20 and soon to be 22 ) will know who I am.
I also noticed my wedding band gets in the way when I hold the mic. Small gap. Air gets out.
My wife wont buy this line....
"but honey I cant were the wedding band when I go jamming, it interferes with my sound"
So, Jeremyshnell try trimming it close then go ahead it should grow back... we hope.
abner ( Blueyes, colored my grey hair brown & still wearing my wedding band )

Subject: [Harp-L] RE: CUPPING WITH FACIAL HAIR
I havent shaved clean in 30 yrs - try as I may, it is impossible to get the airtight seal, so I make up for it by using amps that have richer, deeper tone than most, and by using "freakisnly hot" Shure CR and Shure R7 elements.? Yet,in light of all this cupping conversation, I am tempted to shave... My wife will be beside herself if I finally went "clean face"? for music and not to comply with her longtime request....???? I won't tell if you guys won't....
