[Harp-L] Re: MIC HOLDING

Abner:
Holding a bullet mic with the left hand can become second nature with practice. Of course hand sizes vary, so find a mic that is comfortable. Green Bullet, JT-30, or a chopped Turner are just different enough to make a difference.

Try holding the mic with just your pinky and thumb wrapped around the grille, not in a white-knuckle-deathgrip, but relaxed so your hand won't cramp up. Opening up the heel of the right hand, from the bottom up, is also a good way to get that wah thang without losing your grip on mic and harp.

Highly recommended: "Gary Smith - Amplified Blues Harp Demystified" DVD for details on grip, and hand effects.
