i play through a peavey bandit 112. it's an older model,
80 watts, 12" speaker. gets reasonably loud, but still
needs to be at 6 or so on clean channel to be heard in
a loud band. but i like the way it sounds. i play a wireless
fireball through a kinder afb+ into it when playing out,
but skip the kinder at home. sometimes have an rp250
in there, too. sounds great. at the jam, i also run a line
out to the PA, and use it as a monitor.
i went to the store to buy something like an epiphone
valve junior. figured while i was there i'd play through
everything in the store. liked the sound of this one best,
even more than its tubed cousin. then i noticed it was
used, at a great price, and was something i could gig
with. by the end of the month-long trial period, i was
sold.
i'd guess the newer models sound better. but for my needs
right now, this works well for me.
