i'm lucky in that both rob paparozzi and bernard purdie live in
my area.  so i've seen bernard sit in with rob on several occasions.
what's cool about watching bernard is that he plays these incredibly
complex rhythms, and it looks absolutely effortless, as easy as breathing
in and out.  you get the feel that he could do that in his sleep.
