[Harp-L] Splitter cable question

Today I put my Digitech RP200 and RP250 side by side. I ran my Fireball V mic to a direct box, and took a split cable (single mono 1/4" to double mono 1/4") out from the direct box to the inputs of the RP200 and RP250. Then I ran the outputs from the RP200 and RP250 to a simple 4-in 1-out resistance (unpowered) line mixer, with the output from the line mixer going to my Peavey keyboard amp.

The sound of those two RPs ganged together is, like, bigger than big. Bigger than Godzilla. Bigger than Manhattan. Bigger than Godzilla IN Manhattan. And Godzilla didn't have an octave doubler or a flanger, and he takes up too much room on the stage. So this is better than Godzilla, not just bigger.

However, I need some advice before I turn this thing loose on the world. I would like someone better versed in the ways of electrons than me to answer this question: am I likely getting signal degradation from the split cable, the resistance mixer, or both with this setup?

The RPs seem to tolerate the inputs from the split cable with no problem. I've tried plugging my mic directly into each of the RPs, and I've also tried putting the mic through an ART Tube MP preamp instead of the direct box before the split cable that goes to the RPs. I don't hear much of a difference with any of these setups.

I'd like to think that this setup is plenty, and I don't have to lay out another $80 for an ABY switch, or $50 for a mixer with a power source, etc.

If you know the answer, please advise.
