No. It's a pretty good harp, however not better than the MBDL though 
some say it's quite as good and it's probably more durable. If you 
have an ordinary 1847 by now, you shouldn't expect the Silver model 
to be better than that one. 
As usual you won't get around trying it yourself to judge if you like 
it. After all it is al a matter of taste.

Is an all original '59 Bassman "worth" several thousand bucks? If it 
turns out, that the 1847 silver is "your" model it is of course worth 
90$ for YOU. After all there are people spending the bucks on the 
Bassman and on the Silver, too ;)
