   Warren must've been reading my mind when he started this thread.  Was
scanning an article a few days before in a Chicago newspaper about
conventions and meetings being cancelled because of the economy.  I was
thinking that the SPAH convention could be a casualty of our current
recession this year.  I'm afraid I'm a glass half empty kind of guy.
   So Warren's enthusiasm and the response from the list were certainly
welcome and reassuring.  If my wife and I are still employed by August,
we're in Sacramento.   Looks like a great area, too.  We're probably going
go early and do some hiking in Point Reyes National Seashore and spend a
couple of nights in wine country.
   And I'm happy for Michael Polesky and all the other Californians who have
trekked to the Midwest year after year to attend the conventions.  At last,
SPAH came to them.
