I disagree with Stephen Schneider.  It's pure Voodoo!  Voodoo is what  
it's all about.  You think Big Walter Horton knew which direction the  
electrons were revolving around the coil?
Just to be perfectly clear, I am joking.  That was a very cool  
explanation.  (But I still prefer to think of it as Voodoo).
