Howard,
does this mean, that the power supply reccommended by Digitech (see example
for RP255 below) doesn't transform higher voltage AC to low voltage DC
(which is the case with most of the 9V effect pedals, if they run on 9V
block batteries as well) but just transforms higher to lower voltage?

I responded to this thread yesterday but it seems not to have been
posted to the group.
However, I feel it's important that RP250 etc users beware that the
power requirements for this pedal are 9VAC not DC, as is the case for
most Boss (and even most other digitech) pedals.
Using a 9VDC supply can cause the pedal to become unusable.
Unfortunately I had to learn this the hard way, but to the credit of the
Digitech people, they were able to revive my unit free of charge.
