RE: [Harp-L] Using a Digitech RP200 in Europe

Hi Tom,

What shall I say, ups... , my apologies for misleading information. I guess it's just because I was checking Richard's patches on my RP350, messing with the Zoom H4 and Boss AD-5 processor at the same time - both of the latter having 300 mA adaptors. So, I was wrong in the previous email. I was keeping one pedal in mind and talking about the other one.

Anyway, one thing to add, I also brought RP350 from the States to Europe and had to replace the adaptor. What I did was to check the radio store/market and I got me 1400 mA with a little green indicator which is lit when the adaptor is plugged in. And its AC - I actually bought the adaptor without checking in the first place and had to return it and get another one.

It's important not to get a cheap adaptor that doesn't comply with the standards, so check for the sign "CE" in sort of roundish shape. And info about the pyramid of adaptors is still valid, once you decide to buy a transformer, get the one that will hold the adaptor in a safe position without a chance for falling/slipping and eventually getting disconnected.

Sorry once again for a mistake,

Alex

Alex,

are you sure? This one suits the RP200 and has 1300mA

Hi MN,

It should not be a problem in principle as RP250 uses a regular Power
Adopter with 9V, 300mlA - as used for any small BOSS pedal. The problem
might be to find that adopter physically - you have to know a particular
music store you can drop by and get the thing, otherwise you might spent
some time looking for it around.

And you can also get the power transformer. Get yourself then a multi outlet
transformer with several inserts, cause the mini versions as practice shows
- you'll have a double layer of adaptors (one on one) - will only add up to
the uncontrollable environment.

Best,

Alex

If I were to buy a Digitech RP200 on my next trip back to the U.S., would a
Euro voltage wall wart be a simple, affordable thing to buy here in Europe?

MN
