Harpapalooza is an annual benefit concert held in Harrisburg, PA, featuring local and regional harmonica players from PA, MD, DC and DE (and we'd love to include players from other areas, too!). All money raised from the event goes directly to the American Diabetes Assoc. for Diabetes research. The event is hosted by Harrisburg's Nate Myers & The Aces --- Nate is the MC for the evening and each performer is backed by his band. Harpapalooza has already raised thousands of dollars for Diabetes research and continues to grow each year!
HARPAPALOOZA V will be held at the Appalachian Brewing Company (Hbg, PA) on Saturday, May 2, 2009. This year's line-up features CHARLIE KNIGHT, DOCKTA D (Dockta D & The Infirmary), MIKE METTALIA (Midnight Shift), FLAT FOOT SAM (Flat Foot Sam & The Educated Fools) and MIKEY JUNIOR (Mikey Junior & Stone Cold Blues).
There is a donation accepted at the door and there will be drawings and silent auctions....and a lot of fine harp playing!!!
Harpapalooza is truly a great time for a great cause! If you are in the PA-area, mark your calendar for Harpapalooza on May 2!
