I think you are absolutely right, cardio training can help one's harp playing a lot.
I have been kick box training privately and running for a while and it has helped me so much, much of the stuff that was physically demanding for me on the harp is a lot easier for me now.
I also think the cardio work has helped me mentally with playing; the cardio can be long and boring, it is a good time to play intrumentals in your mind or just think about your goals.
