[Harp-L] Upside Down Harmonica playing (was Grandpa Elliot)

Great link, Daniel! I have noticed that a surprising number of great,
toneful harp players, now including Grandpa Elliot play the harp with high
notes to their left/harp flipped over from conventional position(watch the
video closely to confirm). (Kind of like Albert King and his Flying V
strung right-handed but flipped over and played left!) Am I correct in
saying William Clarke also played the harp "backwards"? Mel Melton down in
North Carolina is another player that does this and similarly has great
tone. Doesn't seem to make a difference: it's all how folks learned to
play!

After watching the video posted earlier on the "pretty cool" post I became
intrigued about the man playing harmonica. Probably, most of you already
know who he is (I know, I don't get out much lol). His name is Granpa
Elliot, a street musician for decades in New Orleans. Anyways, found this
very nice you-tube video and I had to put it on my favorites. Hope you
enjoy
it.
