Re: [Harp-L] Ultrasonic cleaner

I used clean water, distilled is good if you have hard water in your area, I like to add a cap full of minty mouth wash. I can put in three or four harps at once, and run it through two cycles (about three min. ea.).
Then gently slap out the water, gently blow out some of the water, not too hard or a hydraulic effect can hurt the reeds. Then put them on a towel holes up to drain.

This is OK for occasional debris, but no substitute for dis assembly and cleaning as Jason shows here:

Subject: [Harp-L] Ultrasonic cleaner

Hello all,

Can anybody tell me the best way to use an ultrasonic cleaning machine on harps? I'm pretty sure i've seen this topic on the list before, but for some reason i'm having difficulties with the archives. So sorry for the redundant topic. Thank you in advance for your advice.
