[Harp-L] Re:Pelican Cases?
With all this talk lately about harp cases and "broken guitars" and road cases, I'd like to tell you about a new ATA rated Harp Road Case that I had built about 8 years ago. I had the same guy who built all of my amp road cases build a Harp Case of the same caliber. I came up with the design and he did the build. The case has got GOBS of space for abbot 24 or so diatonic harps and enough room for 2 -4 octave Chromatics. It's also got two foam "cradles for JT30s. The top part of the case is one large storage compartment that closes. Enough room for cords, pedals, song lists, and other assorted stuff. Even more harps if you want.
I've been carrying around the case for 8 years or so and it is INDESTRUCTIBLE !! You can lay it flat on the ground and stand on it with no danger of messing it up. It's proven it's value time and time again when we load the van for the road.
Since my recent relationship with MegaTone Amps has blossomed into us introducing my own Harp Amp--Wezo 45- we have decided to offer these Harp Road Cases to other players. The 1st one has just been built and was immediately sold to a local harp player here in NC. We have done our photographs for the web site and they should be up sometime next week. I paid over $325.00 for mine when I had it built 8 years ago. It may seem like a lot of money for a harp case, but think about how much money you've got invested in all your harp gear. To me, it's worth every penny to protect my expensive harps and mics.We will be offering the same case through our site for $299.00. If you're interested in seeing a preview of the case, I've got a couple of pics that I took with my digital camera the other day. Please contact me off-list and I'd be glad to show you a couple of basic shots I have of the case.
