The onscreen hardened-con-look actor miming harmonica is Richard Reeves, not known to me as a harmonica player and is probably just that - an actor mining harmonica. Which leaves the usual suspects of the place and time (1961), including Tommy Morgan, George Fields, Eddy Manson, Jerry Adler. maybe Les Thompson.
