Re: [Harp-L] This ever happen to travelling harp players?
If the ramp crew was actually throwing the instruments, I
think that he has a legitimate gripe. He certainly wrote and
performed an amusing song about it.
However, I have an "airline-proof" case for the Taylor
guitar that I have flown to SPAH three times with no
problems.
ANY AIRLINE RELATED DAMAGE TO AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR BEING
SHIPPED IN AN SKB -18RW CASE WILL BE COVERED UP TO $1500.00
BY SKB CORPORATION IN ORANGE, CA.
It is a "tank" with wheels and a towing handle.
That is the good news.
The negative is that it weighs 15 lbs without the guitar and
cost about $300. Still...that is less than 10% of his $3500
guitar value and seems reasonable for a person who flies
regularly with fine instruments.
Southwest is not charging me extra to take it to Sacramento.
I am only a happy customer of Taylor, SKB, and Southwest.

Yeah, he could have taken a bus, too. It's still WRONG!
