As the resident ambulance chaser of the list I believe it is time that I
chime in. U.S. Patent Law is incredibly complicated. So complicated that
Patent Attorneys take a separate bar exam. Patent Law is not a place for
the unlearned to wade in and you can blow your patent rights by premature
disclosures. When I used to work with patent attorneys for a multi-national
corp, I used to instruct our engineers to keep their mouths shut about their
work and keep their drawings to themselves until the patent attorneys said
otherwise. So, bottom line, don't read anything unnecessary into the lack
of information about anybody's patent, its status or the applicants silence
about it.
