Subject: [Harp-L] Where to get parts for 270 Chromatic?
Hi Howard....
what I and a lot of fellow chromatic enthusiasts talk about, are 'borrowing'
(scavenging parts) slides and/or buttons from other 270's in our
possession...either ones we've long owned or cheaply bought ones off EBay just for that
purpose (they're fairly plentiful). If it was just the button alone, there
are things which could be substituted, but you need the slide as well.
Another option might be to send it in to Hohner. They'll assess it and let
you know how much it will be...depending on whether that's all it needs. You
might take advantage of them checking the reeds, windsavers and gapping as
well.

All of this talk about fettling a chromatic has reminded me that I've
had an old 270 super chromonica in the closet for decades in need of a
slide and button. Is there anywhere I can go to buy a replacement?
Thanks
Howard
