[Harp-L] re: Harmonicas Made in USA?
Michael Peloquin quotes the following:
"Chicago-based Harrison Harmonicas LLC is about to become the
nation's first harmonica manufacturer, equipped with its own
technology and patented designs to maintain a competitive edge."
Except it's not "the nation's first harmonica manufacturer". I
posted this last month when this claim was previously made:
http://harp-l.org/pipermail/harp-l/2008-December/msg00755.html
So its pretty clear that Harrison Harmonicas will not be the first
American harmonica manufacturer, not by almost two centuries (and
possibly not the only current one either, depending on how one looks
at it).
As for the "patented designs", last the list heard they had not been
granted yet (as of April 2008) has this changed?
i couldn't find anything at the USPO site, either under granted
patents or applications.
