[Harp-L] Creating a solo act..
I've had a really hard time getting it together with other musicians,
mainly because I don't sing. Since I don't sing, I don't have any
real power or influence in band situations, so I wind up being at the
mercy of other musicians. More often than not, it's a guitar player
who plays too much and too loud. I bought a big amp, and a set of
musicians ear plugs, and gritted it out with these guys for a while.
About 4 months ago, I got fed up and completely checked out of the
whole scene.
Lately, I've been working out with a loop station, trying to put some
solo material together. I'm in the early stages, but I see huge
potential
with this technology. With a few harps, your voice, and some noise
makers, you can lay down a massive wall of sound. In essence, you
can create your own band on the fly, and never have to worry about
other musicians again.
Here's a youtube clip of me building a song from scratch, using 4
harps, a couple of noisemakers, a mic, a keyboard amp, and that's it.

If anyone else on harp-l is using a loop station, please contact me.
Thanks!
