[Harp-L] Honky Tonk Woman w/ harp

I've played this song in a couple of bands. The blues scale works great. My YouTube page has a vid called "Covers Demo"....the start of my solo is on there. The vid is cheesy and features a band I don't play with anymore, but the sound quality is good.

The original Stones recording has a solo over a vamp, I think. I typically solo over a verse. I find it most satisfying to take a melodic lead on this tune w/o doing anything too fast or crazy.

Other "bar" standards harp fits great over include Keep Your Hands to Yourself and You Shook Me. Harmonica can take any lead any other melody insturment would take. However, it may involve not playing blues licks in 2nd position.

"Music should be healing; music should uplift the soul; music should inspire. There is no better way of getting closer to God, of rising higher towards the spirit, of attaining spiritual perfection than music, if only it is rightly understood."
