Here are two suggestions, but go easy on any liquid, as the tweed is
held on by glue. You don't want to use a chemical which could loosen
that bond. Before trying either suggestion, I would set the case in
direct sunlight for a day or two. The UV rays will actually kill the
mildew. The problem lies in cleaning the black stain it leaves behind...

#1. Lysol concentrate in the brown bottle. Dilute in water. Dip a sponge
or cloth in the bucket, sink, whatever, and squeeze out the excess.
Wipe/gently rub the tweed.

#2. This is a cleaning suggestion given to me by the Coleman company for
cleaning mildew off of a tent. The tent had nylon walls and a white
cotton roof. This is a no-bleach solution which may be useful on cotton
tweed if suggestion #1 doesn't work.

"For mildew on a tent, we tell the consumer to use this mixture: 3 parts
lemon juice (fresh) or white vinegar to 1 part salt. To remove mildew
from material, apply fresh lemon juice mixture in direct sunlight. Let
it set for a while and then you can wash down the tent."

For the "wash down the tent" portion, I would say wipe clean with a damp
sponge/cloth.
