I'm saddenned by Bill's death.

I met him several times at SPAH and conversed numerous times 
by 'phone.

By continuous experimentation, he helped define what worked 
and what didn't in various areas of chromatic customization. 
He was generous with consultation and information.  His 
product offerings met some needs for plastic combs and 
windsavers. He was a really good guy and we'll miss him.
