ohmigod Tom, we were just talking to him a week ago about, on slidemeister.  
He had posted something there...and as usual, his windsavers came up as 'the'  
windsavers to buy.
 
...I was making a joke about Bill being even more OCD than me since he  
believed in plating everything in either gold or silver on his  chromatics...even 
the reed plates.
 
What a cool guy...although I'd never met him in person, he was so nice when  
I ordered self-stick valves from him.
 
...And such a font of knowledge....this really is a shock

Don't know if this old new on the list, but Betty Romel called and told  me
of Bill's passing two nights ago from pneumonia.  Bill was a great  harmonica
technician and a good friend who will be  missed.
