[Harp-L] Lukas Foss - Henrey Cowell Harmonica Concerto

I just found out I will be performing the Henry Cowell Harmonica  
Concerto with the American Symphony Orchestra in Jan 2010 at Lincoln  
Center in New York City.

I performed the World Premiere of the Henry Cowell Harmonica Concerto  
with Lucas Foss and the Brooklyn Philharmonic In 1986.  The piece was  
written for John Sebastian, Sr. who never got a chance to do the  
premiere.  Meastro Foss then conducted me in the Milwaukee Symphony  
performance of the work and the West Coast Premiere with the Los  
Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl.  Lucas Foss was the  
person who started concerto career.  Meastro Foss died this Sunday -  
he was a great conductor and composer.

I will miss him.
