[Harp-L] Paul Butterfield

Hello, MERRY CHRISTMAS To Every One.

On The subject of Paul Butterfield, allot of oppinions I have read about Paul in here .
My first hearing of Paul Butterfield Blues Band was in 1979 I was just learning harp then.
I was hooked right from the start on his amazeing Phraiseing and Tone.
The way he fused Jazz into Blues was Genius, and the players along with him were equally so. I collected as many albums I could get hold of back then what a feast of choice Blues to my ears that was for me :-) .
My very favourite song is Driftin and Driftin Live ,the one track off the Antholodgy CD Lost Eleckra recordings. I first heard that exact same track off the live vynl album that really blew me away man :-).
There had been other recordings of Driftin but this one is the best I think personally.
One of his last Albums "Put It In Your Ear "was a really cool change and the Jazz influence was definately there, that album in its self was a New Move forward.
Paul uses an electric Arp on one track , how Inovative was that , Very cool I reckon.
Paul Butterfield and Charlie Musselwhite , and Sonny Terry are my favourite old school harp players, they all have stamped their styles on us as blues harp players, they got the MOJO .
