Speaking of Rick Estrin, I just watched his instructional DVD "Rick
Estrin Reveals Secrets Subtleties and Tracks of the Blues Harmonica"
Over the past few years I've looked at most of the blues harmonica
instructional material, and Rick's DVD is very cool and very different.
He assumes you already have the basics, and talks at length about the
"little things", the myriad of variations which separate great blues
harmonica players from the rest of the bunch. Rick is truly great, his
wisdom about playing styles, attitudes and showmanship fills in gaps
left by other instruction methods.
In short, if you play blues and invest in instructional materials, then
Rick's DVD should be on your list. You can get it at

I should also mention that his DVD is highly entertaining. Without
giving away the plot, I can say that Rick ends up with the girl(s)
