[Harp-L] Butter blues

Fine if anyone is into jazz or fusion music, nothing wrong with any genre. But Paul Butterfield started out listening to the blues greats of the 60s, and formulated a sound that was his trademark, which is straightforward blues. The early Butterfield Blues Band was one of the best ever blues compositions with Paul's innovative harp, great vocals, and Mike Bloomfield's creative guitar. The first album is irreplacable and "East-West" is almost as good. One track on the "Live" album that shines is "Everything Gonna Be Alright". Often neglected is the Elektra compilation "What's Shakin'" with six PBBB tracks. Add to these the ones made with Muddy, that's about the essence of Butter playing blues harp on official recordings.
