[Harp-L] re: True Chromatic
It was pointed out to me that this actually isn't the first time harp-
l has read about a tuning along the lines of the "True Chromatic",
and indeed may not be the first time that specific tuning has come
up. I had forgotten all about it, but Douglas Tate had mentioned a
similar beast a few times. While I couldn't find the specific post
(sadly many years of archives are missing), these two are relevant:

I'm not sure that a slide version was ever discussed, but I like the
idea of a circular harmonica using this--especially since then you
might find it easier to jump back in pitch in a more regular pattern
than you would by building it on a standard chromatic frame and thus
allow you to keep the chords more closely grouped in terms of
octaves. And, as these posts indicate, Douglas wasn't the first to
come up with the idea either.
