Remember the Ash Grove? THE roots music venue in
L.A. on Melrose from 1958-1973? Ash Grove Music Foundation's vast
collection of never-before-released taped live shows is being prepared
and distributed by Wolfgang's Vault, with a share of the proceeeds
coming back to the Ash Grove Music Foundation so we can continue its
work bringing roots music as a catalyst for social progress.
Many
of these rare live recordings of greats like Lightnin' Hopkins, the
Georgia Sea Island Singers, Doc & Merle Watson, Bukka White, Sonny
& Brownie, Mance Lipsomb, Bill Munroe & the Bluegrass Boys,
Maybelle Carter, Chambers Brother, Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, etc., etc.,
are now available on-line!
Please click on the link below to see
the recordings currently available. More come on line each month, so
check back occasionally, surprises abound!
