incidentally, his 'back-up band' were a last-minute hire I understand and
only met Mr. Tanaka (how he was billed) very shortly before the appearance.
The pianist (whose credentials were amazing ... I meant to write them down
in order to 'out' him to the list in general but am sorry to say I simply
can't remember at this late date)... expressed his astonishment and joy
after the gig by what a great time they'd had at a harmonica convention they'd
never realized existed...and made it clear they'd be thrilled to be
invited back. Someone grab these guys for the future...they're
heavy-duty...wonderful musicians.
