Greg, if Ronnie Shellist says the Front and Center mic sounds good
and resists feedback, I'll take his word for it. I've known Ronnie
for years: He is a great player and a stand-up guy who would never
pimp a product he does not strongly believe in and actually use.

Guy - I wouldn't choose a mic for feedback resistance as the primary
criteria. There is a huge range of mics available. They don't vary
THAT much in feedback resistance. What matters is whether the
element in the mic gives you the tone you want. I don't know front
and center, but it says they use a "NOS Vintage Crystal" without
naming it - I think this is a big red flag. Some crystals, like the
ones Hohner put in the Blues Blaster after they ran out of Astatic
MC-151's, sound awful. Might be feedback resistant but who cares?
I find it interesting that they've basically taken all my sales
points and the way I present and option my mics, and done the same
thing. I'm honored.

Subject: [Harp-L] Front and Center Mics
Can anyone offer their experience with *Front and Center Mics*?
They appear
to be highly feedback resistant.
