Re: [Harp-L] which delay? Wampler v tape echo
Today i recieved my new toy:
http://damagecontrolusa.com/products/timeline/
Tonight I used it during a rehearsal with my semi-acoustic duo... and I
loved it.
I still have to learn how to use it. The tap tempo is very useful, the
slapback echo is very nice... reverse echo is big fun..
etc etc etc..
AND.... no loss of signal, no tone sucking/tone change.... so it is very
harpfriendly.
AND EXPENSIVE.... :-))

I don't know whether you need *special* tape, but if ordinary magnetic
recording tape works, I am happy to advise that your recent report of its
demise is premature. See, for instance:

Open reel analog audiotape is alive and well & expertly manufactured by
the folks at RMGI in Holland. Born of EMTEC, BASF and AGFA, RMGI is the
proper successor to these brands. Duplication Specialists, Inc. offers
advice on usage and compatibility of RMGI products, as we ourselves are
users! Contact us for compatible replacements for the defunct QUANTEGY
tape product line.
Duplication Specialists, Inc is a full line, stocking distributor,
offering overnight worldwide shipping from stock.

As many of you probably know, there is a currently manufactured real tape
echo unit; it's very expensive:
