Hey Rick ,
   Not trying to make waves here, but speakers and tubes have a LOT to do with how loud an amp is.
Case in point :  I've got a 12 watt Harvard (guessing at the watts) and it wasn't loud enough to gig with with the original Jensen speaker.

 I put a Eminence Ramrod in it and the MOFO came alive and is a TONE BEAST.   I can play virtually any size room with it.   The Harvard sounds more like 30 watts than 12-15.  Go figure.
I'm a big fan of Eminence speakers.  Especially the Ragun Cagun--10"
Ramrod--10" and the Governor--12".
