[Harp-L] Robert Johnson - Crossroads Curse and the 27 Curse

Does anyone on the list regularly perform the Crossroads Blues?

A guy I play with regularly does the Clapton version of Crossroads, and i have played it some. But a
most interesting version is Carlos del Junco's version that he calls "Heaven's Where You Dwell". It's the first
song on his masterpiece album, "Big Boy". His song is Crossroads with different lyrics, directed at
Robert Johnson. In addition to stellar playing (mostly 2nd position, iirc), Carlos takes a solo all by himself,
where he plays the one harp in all 12 keys. It's not just technical virtuosity, it's great sounding music, the
whole CD.
