I used to tap my foot, but the car would be constantly speeding up and slowing down.
It's bad to play while driving, however, I got to the point where I could steer with my knees (even turning) while using both hands for the harmonica.
Don't do this anymore. Older and wiser.

That's how I learned. As a result I have difficulty keeping time. I found that
you can't play, pay attention to the road and tap your foot all at the same
time. But I'm getting better at it.
