Re: [Harp-L] nobody knows you when you're down and out
You best start by learning to play the note created through 4 hole inhale
bend as a solid note. It is an important note to these particular chord
changes. Then, understand the note choices for a diminished chord - chord
outline = 1 hole inhale bend, 2 hole exhale, three hole exhale (or 2 hole
inhale), three hole inhale first bend, 4 hole inhale bend, 5 hole exhale, 6 hole
exhale - but you can also play off the half diminished scale based on 4
hole inhale which provides passing tones as well. However, if you are a
beginner in understanding scales and note choices, you can't go wrong with that
diminished chord note choice outline, arpeggio style.
The other note that is important is to use a half step above 2 hole inhale
(3 hole exhale) and 6 hole exhale. These two note choices can be found as 3
hole inhale third bend and 6 hole inhale bend. These notes are critical
over the second chord of the song.
This is a great song to tackle for expanding your understanding of note
choices.

I have been trying to figure out the song "Nobody knows you when you are
down and out". Any one have a clue how to play it on a Diatonic or any
tuning of a 10 hole?
