Re: [Harp-L] On the road again
Despite Elizabeth's confidence I'm pretty sure that's NOT Alan Glen. If it
is it's an exceptionally youthful (and hirsute!) version compared to
today's model... sorry Alan if you're listening!
There's a comment on the YouTube posting that identifies the harpist as
Billy Miskimmin (whom I don't know) - this sounds more likely to me.
Jim
okay, Jim...I believe I mentioned that I'd settled on Alan Glen as the
harpist after reading the same YouTube postings? ....I did check out Billy
Miskimmin. As far as I know his hair (speaking of hirsuteness, lol) has
remained the same light blonde colour throughout. I pretty much ruled him out
after comparing the three men and their playing styles too.
Here're some photos of him from his myspace site bearing no resemblance at
all to the guy Steve posted the video of (others may not be able to see
them, but you might). His site refers to him as a young player and I presume
the photos are recent. You tell me?

in this one he's the shortest guy in the middle...

You haven't yet convinced me :)
however..I did just find a video from a show at BBKing's from 2007 when he
played with the Yardbirds, maybe it'll give a better idea (the lights can
make one's hair look darker)...but can it change the harp playing?

anyway: here's his myspace site for anyone wishing to hear his recorded
harp playing...some good songs there:'God on their lips, Blood on their
hands', and 'Deja Vu All Over Again' are from his debut album.

I enjoy puzzles. This is a fun one. :)
