Re: [Harp-L] How Do You Clean Your Harmonica?
Zach I'm not sure if you got your answer or not. I hope so.
I'm new my self and I saw a You Tube vid, a link that I believe Elizabeth posted.. I cant remember it but I'm sure you can find it.
If the harps are new I don't think you need to clean them. and if you do, you need to be real gentle around the reeds using a soft toothbrush. And it all depends on what kind of cleaning your trying to achieve.
I'm too new so I cant give you that much advice.
BUT!!!!!!!!!!
Before you put your harp in your month remember anything you eat or drink winds up junking up the harp.
I always brush my teeth after I eat if I'm going to practice, and if I have been cleaning or fooling around the car engine, yard, garage I make sure I wash my hands. Other then that I have been Practicing for several month and really had no need to clean my only to know that I can......

Subject: [Harp-L] How Do You Clean Your Harmonica?
Hi Everyone,
I have another beginner's question. I have two harmonicas now, both diatonic one in E and one in C. I was wondering, how do you clean a harmonica without it being toxic to your breathing while you play? Is there a way to clean a harmonica and preserve the integrity of the sound without taking the whole thing apart? Any help on this would really be appreciated. Thanks,
Zach Frisch
