I used a body pack with a small connector. It was, as is the one used
with this unit, a locking plug - the plug screws on to the unit. This
increases greatly the strength of the connector.
I never had any problem with it. But that's not the reason. The key is
strain relief. Just tie the cord to a belt loop so that the strain goes
there rather than on the connector. I just use the velcro tie that I use
to secure the coiled cord.

BTW, I am looking for a new wireless. The specs on this unit look good -
dual receivers and some frequency agility. If you acquire it, please let
us/me know how it works for you.
