I happen to like full length covers.  Purely as a matter of  
subjective opinion, I think they are a little louder than covers with  
tabs.

Btw, all full length covers I have seen are UNVENTED.  Some tabbed  
covers are VENTED like the those on the Marine Band.  I think vented  
covers definitely produce different tonal characteristics than  
unvented covers whether they are full length or not.
