Subject: [Harp-L] mic technique/playing electric vs. playing acoustic
One cannot create all effects used while plating acoustically when
playing electrically. And one certainly cannot get all the sounds
one can produce while playing electric when playing acoustic. While
there are certain techniques/effects common to both styles, electric
playing is a fundamentally different animal than acoustic playing.
If one is just starting to play electric, it may be more instructive
to see what you can do with the electricity instead of trying to
figure out how to recreate the effects you rely on when playing
acoustically. You may be surprised what you discover.
