[Harp-L] Making a fool of myself in public

You had the courage and the talent to play in front of a large crowd and with good talent that let you shine.
Don't look at the mistakes, or the other players..
Like you mentioned you had fun. That's all that matters.
I'm a green newbie to anything musical and I enjoyed not only your sound, but I can see how much you enjoyed it.

I hope (with much learning and practice) that some day I could be as good as you.

abner (Blueyes, enjoying the sound I make)

This week I made an express trip to DC for a conference on broadband
policy. The conference organiser is a wonderful guy and music lover who
always books top-notch musicians to entertain and destress the attendees
in between sessions. This year, the band was the John Jorgenson Quintet
(www.johnjorgenson.com) and since I was a speaker at the conference, the
organiser asked me to sit in with the band after my speech was done. Let
me tell you, I was more stressed out by the playing than I was by the
  speech...

Anyway, I played Minor Swing, and here it is for you to see, warts and
  all:

Still, I enjoyed myself, and that's what counts the most to me. The
musicians were very cool to let me play with them and I really wish I
had guys as good and as patient as this to play with...

Anyway, in order to add useful to entertaining (hopefully) I've added
tabs on the video as Youtube subtitles (you may have to toggle them on
in the lower right corner of the youtube video). As always, do as i say,
  not as I do ;-)
