[Harp-L] Signal Loss Using Long Cables with a Hi-Z Bullet Mic
Rick,
Once upon a time i used to use an Astatic hi-z bullet mic with a
15' cord and (when needed) a 15' extension (total: 30') with no
signal degradation. I also have used a hi-z Shure green bullet w/ a
20' cord and no signal degradation. Eventually, I came to my senses
and stopped using bullet mics regularly. But, in my experience,
you'll definitely be okay with a 30' cable. But, that may be close
to the practical limit according to what I've been told, although i
have no first hand experience with anything longer than 30 feet.

How long can your mic cable be with a Hi-Z Bullet Mic before you start
actually hearing signal degradation? I don't mean the rule of thumb,
I mean
what limit have you observed yourself through your own experience?
