Thanks for the review Billy, I'm glad to hear that my patch set stands up in the kind of company you described in that post. I love that thing too.

The first version of my patch set was indeed designed to work with the Labtec AM22 mic, a sub-$10 mic that has enormous bass response and very low gain, so it works very well even with the very "hot" amp models in the Digitech. I do like the sound of that setup, which is what I used to record "Paris Boogie" (hear it at http://myspace.com/richardhunterharp). But I found, after using the Labtecs for a couple of years, that the build quality was just too flaky for serious use. I had some Labtecs quit on me after 3 hours of use. That is just NOT good enough to take out on a gig, even with a backup.

So I designed a patch set for the Audix Fireball V. That mic just does all the right things with harp, and it sounds great with the RP200--in fact, a lot more like a traditional harp setup, but with lots and lots of cool effects. And of course the build quality is a whole lot better. You can hear that setup on my recording of "In The Night" (same URL).

I've stopped advertising the Labtec patch set--the Audix set is what I sell now. But I'm glad to supply both sets to anybody who buys (or has bought) either one, at no extra charge. Just remember to buy a couple of extra Labtecs. You'll need them.
