Re: [Harp-L] Comb Profile
Take an F# Marine Band and put it on a G comb and it's pretty obvious that it does. Now, you're not working with acoustics per se, but movement of air, make a comb thinner or thicker and it will change response. Mostly this changes how it responds for you...

Subject: [Harp-L] Comb Profile
To push the comb debate in a different direction, I was wondering if the profile of the actual slots of the comb make a difference. Some harmonicas have squared of ends and some are round. I am talking the part inside the harmonica. I was wondering if these could be shaped to enhance tone and performance. Anybody try such a thing? Forgive me if this has already been brought up. I dropped out of the comb conversation weeks ago. :-)
