Iceman is right.
Earlier we had a great quote about practice describing the "harp face" where
the musician has everything click into gear--got the acoustic tone down. The
same thing is true for electric tone--that's why I practice electric. After
a few minutes the cup, the distance from the mic and the harp, all that
settles in and you've got the electric sound.
