Hi Bill, I'm from KL and know where to find a blues joint here. It's also probably the only one. It's called "The Duke". Thursday and Friday nights are always a full house and I can help try to get you on stage if there's room for you. 

I wouldn't mind meeting up and maybe even showing you around. I play blues harp too and it's always nice to meet someone else who does.

There are very few blues harp players here and most of them seem to be more concerned about keeping to themselves. :/

Now I'm not quite sure how to exchange contact details on harp-l though...
