R: [Harp-L] Re: Sounds like Harmonica

Maybe I miss the point. I'm pretty sure about that. What's wrong about a
harmonica that sounds like a harmonica?
The tone and the sounds are an half of a harp player's work. I hate the harp
players that make the harp sound like a baby toy. But I LOVE the sound of
the harmonica. Otherwise I'd choose to play another instrument. ;-)

Only certain harmonica sounds make me cringe.  Mainly the cliches.  Like
"Whammer Jammer" blow bend, for instance.  I liked the original as recorded
by Magic Dick well enough.   But how many gazillion times do I have to hear
someone else stick it into their own solos?   If I heard that at SPAH I'd
walk in the other direction!
